(ps: my Pinterest)
Did I mention how annoying it is trying to look for an apartment when your whole country is flooded? Yes. Though instead of actually looking at places today, I'm taking advantage of the weather and the fact that the highway to Tel Aviv is flooded which has given me time to spend on Pinterest, looking for ideas on how I'm going to furnish a tiny Tel Aviv apartment. And mind you, when I say tiny, I mean tiny. For the price of renting a larger apartment, it already pays to rent a flat on Park Avenue. That is the current ridiculous real estate situation in Tel Aviv. So I'll be doing a lot of 'stuffing into corners',' and having 'a million shelves per room'. And thanks to this fabulous inspo, I think I just might pull this one off. All that's left is to actually find the place now. xx

Great photos! :)

Loved this inspiration. I just wish I had the freedom to decorate (my apartment is furnished). I also live in a tiny place and sometimes it is hard to manage. I have some advice you might find helpful:
ReplyDelete1: take advantage of the walls. Decor on walls, shelves on the wall, everything on the walls. I even hang my bags on the wall.
2: Have as little stuff as possible. We only have 4 plates, 4 dessert plates, 4 bowls,...The same with linens, 2 pairs are enough. We're just two, we don't need that much stuff.
3:Use your fashion magazines as decor.:) Or have them as a bed side table.
4: This one is cheating, but oh well, leave as much crap as possible at your parents place, if you can. If me and my bf had brought all our things, we couldn't move in our apartment.
And I guess this is it. If I remember anything else, I'll let you know.;) Well, you didn't really asked for advice, but I'm one of those annoying people that gives it anyway.:p

Oh I love it! And the neutral colours make things look less cluttered! The little pops of colour with flowers in the kitchen is so cute too.

I can relate to you! here in the netherlands it is also very hard to find a space to live (well if you want to rent that is!) and since i do want to rent, it is so hard... and whenever there is something free you have 200+ people before you on the list! ugh.. x

ReplyDeletehope everything's ok, weather wise. that said, any type of white wall based inspo is a slam dunk in my book. all of these looks are cozy and homey and clean. love.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the apartment hunt! Living in a small apartment can be good for you, it limits the amount of stuff you buy unnecessarily and helps to keep things cozy.
ReplyDeleteNice place!~! good luck with hunting

Great ideas! White walls will help make your room bigger. I suggest tiny splashes of color on home accessories to add life into the room. I like designing my New Minneapolis apartments too.
