Natasha Poly by Craig McDean for Vogue Paris October 2005
Styled by Carine Riotfeld
I was feeling a bit nostalgic, longing for some of the 'old' Vogue Paris that would always comfort me.
I had to scan and post this one, because I think it is completely timeless and it really shows how beautiful all of Carine's work always is. xx

Stunning stuff. For some reason when I scrolled through these photos I noticed me drawing comparisons to nuns that are on the risque side of things! Anyone else seeing that? It's provocative, but their faces are so stoic.

Votre, you are completely right... I have always felt that in Vogue Paris, and especially in Carine's work, they play around a lot with religon. The 'provocative nun' is actually constantly being redone by VP. Though, what I love so much about this specific 'provocative nun' editorial is the outstanding styling; the use of the coats worn on the head, the cig, the not showing too much skin but still being unbelievably sexy.... Good stuff!
