Feel Free
(photosource: tfs)
Julia Stegner by Greg Kadel for Vogue Germany February 2012
Love, love, love, love, love everything about this. Our beautiful Julia is back at it, and so it Vogue Germany, which is really pleasing.
Some of you may already know, but for those who don't - Germany has a very special place in my heart.
I was a part of a student exchange program twice, in Leipzig and in Dresden, and I flew there with a totally open mind and with a lot of excitement. The German people were so incredible, so warm and open. I will never forget the beauty of Leipzig, the long bike rides around these incredible lakes and green forests, and streets of Berlin, how the bitter cold air couldn't even ruin the excitement and energy the cities had. I long to be back there, I know I will make it back someday...
Anyways, my point is that the German Vogue is one of the more lacking magazines in my opinion, and in my mind where Germans seem to be so good at everything, I find this so disappointing. I pray that each issue be better, and I finally am believing that my prayers have been answered. This Feb.12 cover with Michelle Williams as Marilyn Monroe is stunning.
I love the beauty of this editorial, I love the pureness, I love the black and white.
Ah. And now I miss Germany even more. xx
