The Best of Editorial - 2011 (Part 3)

This is it everyone! This post sums up what to me were the best editorial shots of 2011, along with the trends and runways looks that dominated.

As for the photo sources, they are a mix of my own scans, from fashion gone rogue, and the fashion spot.

And as for the new year, I am so excited. 2011 was an interesting year, it was colorful and controversial. Makes you wonder what 2012 has stored for us.....
All I know is that I will be starting on a very good note, with high hopes to start university. My resolutions are to get in (better) shape, to go to (at least) five new countries, to move on to becoming fluent in French, and to start eating healthy.
To you I wish happiness, good health, and success. May this year bring many new trends, and many fresh inspirations. Thank you for always coming back to my blog and supporting me. I love you all!!!

The Best of Editorial - 2011 (Part 2)

For those who are wondering: Yes, for these posts I did look through what feels like hundreds of fashion magazines so I could find the absolute highlights. You will notice that some of the photos chosen come from editorials that are not exactly this year's strongest, but I went and chose the photos that spoke to me, told me a story. I also looked for the photos that best showcased this year's trends and runway looks.
This year's editorial trends go hand in hand with the runway trends as they should..... Beach and water influences, neon and bright colors, Asian influences, floral prints and flowers, garments fit for goddess', and a very minimal look seem to dominate fashion in 2011.

I really try not to add photos that were parts of previous posts, which is quite difficult since there are a LOT of classics, but I will honor my promise of always keeping it fresh.

Obviously the i-D covers proved to be some of my favorites, along with various Vogues, Elles, Bazaars, and more, this was a very impressive year. The models got hotter, photographers are sharper, and the fashion - simply perfect.
