Furs and exotic skins. Where fashion gets controversial.
So tell me, what is your opinion? Are for or against furs and exotic skins, and why.
It just seems so fitting to post something a bit controversial, since the last few days in the south of Israel have been incredibly controversial (it has nothing to do with furs and such!!). I promised myself never to get into politics on the blog, but if anyone is really interested in what is happening - my email is on the sidebar/can be found on my profile page. Feel free xx

I myself is an animal lover, I can't stand those animals that were being killed just to have luxury furs.
Furs are really pretty, but what the heck, we can still be fashionable in a way that no animals will be harm.

Oh gosh, I heard a little about what's going on. My friend is there on an archaeological expedition...
Exotic skins are a little unnecessary but I won't be standing there with red paint if I see it.
I think, whatever someone's view is, don't criticize unless you're fully committed. What I mean is, if you're against leather or fur don't even wear faux leather or fur because it still promotes the 'look'. And please be vegan or it's just totally hypocritical. I could only accept and respect criticism from people like that.
This is stunning, love the fur pieces, getting me right in the mood for winter!!

i don't think animals should be harmed for their fur, but these coats and skins are just sooo gorgeous! if they can get the fur without killing or hurting the animal, then i'm all for it.

Fur is one of the ugly sides of the fashion industry. I'm an animal lover and personaly think it's repulsive have they get the fur from these creatures. Though I'm not an extremeist when it comes to this topic, (I won't throw red paint on your mink) I do reccommend searching for videos that show how fur is taken. Some animals are skined alive, & some cheap fur has been discovered to be cat or dog. Real fur is a disgusting accessory but modern day greatness has given those who like the look of fur some great looking faux finds!!! If you love the fur look please pick a fake! This is the only time a fake is more fashionable that the real deal!

I love fur, but I suppose I'm not really comfortable with the idea of where it's taken from. Nevertheless it looks really nice and cosy, so I guess faux fur is more for me really xxx

I'm an animal lover but also a scientist. We didn't get this far naked. If it weren't for wearing the fur of other animals, we would've died out in the first ice age. If it weren't for eating meat, we wouldn't be the cognizant, evolved species we are today.
I am against any inhumane practice, but wearing fur and eating meat is very, very human. And if the industry is responsible about its practices and if we are conscientious shoppers, then it can remain a humane industry.
That being said I still don't buy fur new to decrease demand in the market, but I have no qualms about wearing vintage furs.
I love fur and all of these are beautiful but that 3rd dalmation like coat is really really amazing.

Well, I don't eat meat and I am die hard vegetarian but I wear fur and exotic skins which I think is awful! However, I tried to stop myself but I just couldn't!
"If it weren't for wearing the fur of other animals, we would've died out in the first ice age"-I have to comment this because this girl obviously can't recognize the difference between past and present....the key word is we would have died so there is no need for us to kill animals for fur!

im not into fur at all. but i find these photos to be beautiful if i not think about the fur.. i always prefer faux fur and faux leather to real animal skin/hair.. i like for the animals to be alive instead of wearing them on my body.
anyways, about summer in scandinavia.. this year it's been so rainy and cold.. it feels like there hasn't been any summer- rather just switching from spring to autumn.which i don't like.
i do like your blog however.

Amazing post . I really love all these photos. I have to say I'm all for faux fur. I don't think real fur is so great or at least I wouldn't want to wear it around because I'd be too scared of people in San Francisco getting mad. :)

the editorial is amazing, i really like the fur trend but only if it's fake! my mom was touring through israel once and said it was amazing :-) and one month later a bomb blew up the hotel in which she was in.. i hope it isn't dangerous for you there? xoxo
I really have been sort of indifferent to this topic. But I mean what's wrong with a little faux fur and compromise. I won't scowl at you for wearing fur but I think there are other viable options.

I really like and I wear faux fur because I like the look and the touch that it gives to an outfit. On the other hand I WOULD NEVER WEAR REAL FUR.
This should be over by now, when you can find great quality from faux fur everywhere!

Can only say they look pretty cool but what's the point to dress up in such a burdensome way that goes against the principles for fashion like brevity and comforts for body...
AMAZING!!! The textures & colours are stunning.
The issue of fur is always a heated debate - the thing I find most interesting is that people have such strong opinions about fur but don't have the same attitude towards leather which is strange because essentially it's the same thing isn't it??
