Gucci, Gucci, Gucci
Remember this post from earlier this year? I saw these dresses on the runway and fell in love! These were absolute highlights on the Fall 11/12 season. I also had a feeling they would be seen in many editorials and on many red carpets - well obviously, this dress screams 'glamour' in a way only Gucci can. In other words, it's quite close to perfection.
However, I didn't predict this dress would be THIS huge. There are more magazine issues with this dress with it than without it. Let me lay out for you:
-If I would have included ALL of the photos from magazines out now featuring this dress, this post would have doubled in size.
-If I would have waited a week or so for almost all of the September issues to come out, this post would have tripled in size.
-If I would have included photos of celebrities that wore this dress on the red carpet this post would have doubled in size.
-If I would have posted all the photos from magazines out now featuring pieces from the Gucci Fall 11/12 collection, this post would have tripled in size (at least).
-If I would have waited a week or so to post all of the photos I could from magazines featuring the Gucci Fall 11/12 collection, this post would be too big to the point where it would be annoying.
Mind you, this post has 14 photos in it - about twice as much as I usually include in a post. And I am not exaggerating, I actually did the math..
So, again, I will state that this Gucci trend is HUGE. Now tell me, are you sick of this yet? Do you still love it? Which Gucci look from a magazine or from the red carpet has been your favorite so far? Looking forward to your answers!
I will leave you now for a few days, as mentioned in the last post, I am off to the Sea of Galilee (Tiberias) for some camping - where I am also celebrating my 19th woo!
Wishing everyone an amazing weekend, lots of love to you all xx

In love with this line, gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI really loved this collection. At first, it seemed a little overdone and too much color and stuff but I looked at the details again and slowly fell in love. Everything is so intricate yet balanced. Frida really knows how to make the dresses flow.

wow i didnt know that these dresses were featured in so many different ways! i love the first photo!
ReplyDelete...look closer
Happy Birthday!! I've loved this dress ever since I first saw it on a Pair and a Spare back in spring. I even went as far as to buy some lovely sheer voile to attempt a DIY version, though I've yet to acquaint myself with my sowing machine. I hate how DIY blogs pump you up to do things which you have zero skill to actually do..

Hello baby! You have 1 week to send to my e-mail anna.bnf@hotmail.it one of your outfits with
ReplyDeleteyellow elements. I will publish a post with all your photos and the winner will be decided by the comments. The award is a surprise:)
The yellow ball
It probably is a little over-done. There are so many other stunning pieces out there that could be chosen. That said the collection speaks for itself, there are so many vibrant colours, for me the mustard/black combo is the best. Definitely the strikeout eveningwear of the season.
ReplyDeleteGucci can make a girl swoon. The styles are just so glamorous. I think Rosie Huntington Whiteley really rocked some killer Gucci styles on the red carpet.

the structure is amazing, the big flower adornment is wonderfully crafted. My favourite is the last one, the big bunch of it is gorgeous. I saw this dress before too and never thought it would become this big, its really taken off.

ReplyDeleteHi!
ReplyDeleteI just read your lovely message at IFB. For my account is not active yet, I thought let's write a comment on your beautiful blog (I mean this, you have such a good blog! You know exactly which photos to post and what to write).
I absolutely loved this Gucci collection too. I even used pictures for my blog's header, haha. It's just so glamorous! But not in a tacky, lots of sequins and shiny fabric kind of way (though that can be lovely too!).
Love! Sam
